Arrowhead's Breeding Program

Ch. Aslandia's Elite Sneak Thief "Dillon"

Dillon is our pride and joy - we purchased him from Brindle Hill's Elite Bostons in July 1998 as a finished champion with the plan of specialing him and adding him to our breeding program. Dillon was bred by Bob/Susan Howard & Wendy Orgren. He finished in California handled by Allen Row. He is a beautifully marked, sound Boston who loves to show.

Image of Dud-Lee Dillon has given us 2 litters of puppies which look very promising so far! He is already the sire of a champion son, Ch. Bar-Row's Magnetic Force "Dud-Lee" (right) owned by Kerry Dorn & Helen Row of Antioch, CA. He finished while still a puppy under 1 year of age. He has another soon-to-be champion "Blossoms Dbl Shot Americana", owned by Sheri & Sarah Lattus of Durham, CA. We are so proud of the puppies Dillon is producing! See his mom and dad here, then take a look at his pedigree here (scroll down and right to see it all).

Our first champion bitch is "Gabrielle" (below) Ch. Arrowhead Bar None Beauty (16-1/2 lbs.)Image of Gabrielle She is sired by Ch. Tail's End Traveling Man and is out of Ch. Bar None Whatabout Bobi Elbo. We hope to breed her to Dillon soon! Gabrielle loves to hit the tether ball around with Rowdy. She is a lap dog, who likes to sleep under the covers and hog the bed. See her pedigree here.

We bred Gabrielle and kept a daughter named Arrowhead's Sunspot Baby "Gretchen" (13 lbs.). She is a lot like her mom Gabrielle - she loves to lick! Image of GretchenShe also has this thing about squirrels. We have a squirrel that swings from tree to tree out in our back yard, who teases our Bostons terribly. Gretchen tries to climb the tree to get that squirrel. She is very athletic. I worry someday she will catch him! Like Libby, she too loves the hose. She likes to jump through the stream of water as I fill the pool. Gretchen is so graceful it looks as if she is flying. She is pointed, and you can see her pedigree here.

Our Chilly Weather Traveling Man "Jack" is a wonderful dog. He is not a big kisser, which is okay with me! He likes to follow me around the house and stay close by my side. He is 16 lbs. He has that great show-ring "attitude", and loves going to dog shows (he has 12 pts. and just needs his majors). I think he likes to go to the drive-through restaurants more, though! Jack and our pet quality Boston "Rowdy" get along great, and they both love to play with the tether ball. Jack's pedigree is here.Image of Jack

"Libby" Bar None Betcha By Golly Wow (15 lbs.) is a full sister to Gabrielle. Libby doesn't care for the tether ball - her thing is the water hose! She gets a crazed look in her eye when she thinks the hose is going to be turned on. We didn't want the dogs to overheat in the summer, so we bought them a small plastic baby pool, which they love! Gabrielle and Libby soon learned to retrieve toys that were under water. Libby is pointed also, and you can see her pedigree here. Image of Libby

"Uppy" Moore's Up-Up And Away DuStarre (14 lbs.) was two when we bought her. She has a cobby body and nice large, brown eyes. She is a sweet girl, but doesn't like being bothered by the other dogs - she would rather be in my lap than anywhere else. Her pedigree is here. We kept a female out of her litter by Jack who we call Ally. Ally is 11 lbs. and we will be showing her soon. Ally's pedigree is here. Ally and Uppy are two of a kind. They lay out in the sun together, then, when they have had all the sun they can stand, they go lay in the air conditioning - no swimming pool for those two! See Ally and Uppy along with Rowdy on our "play page" by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.

We have found raising dogs is a lot of work, but the rewards are great! We couldn't imagine NOT having them in our family. I think it is true, "Once you own a Boston Terrier, no other dog will do".
